Tea Profile
Misai Kucing (also known as Cat Whiskers or Java Tea) is a herb widely grown throughout South East Asia. The plant has white or purple colored flowers that resembles cat whiskers, thus the deriving of its name. Has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antimicrobial, and many other health properties. Can be drank with honey or milk.
Origin
In Malaysia, the plant is called “misai kucing” or “kumis kucing” in Malay, cat’s whiskers or java tea. Roleaf’s Misai Kucing is planted in a fertile region in Perak watered by the beautiful Kinta River and Perak River. Malaysia’s tropical climate and humidity creates an ideal environment for the growth of Misai Kucing. The plant can grow to about 1.2m in height and the leaves can be harvested in 2-3 months after plantings.
