Stressed Out?

Do you feel tense all the time? Is there a constant knot in your heart and a weight that you can’t seem to shake off? Are you always worried about one thing after the other? Chronic stress is tiring. And with it comes a whole host of mental and physical health problems.

Don’t let stress get the better of you. There is always a proper way to handle everything that comes your way in life without being anxious.


Journaling your thoughts and feelings is a great way to process and sort through the different situations life throws at us. Put pen to paper (or finger to screen) and pour out your heart. Don’t hold back. Write hard and clear about what hurts. It doesn’t have to be elegant. It just has to be raw and real.

Take Care of Yourself

Prioritize your body. You only have one. Sleep well, eat healthy and work out. It can be tempting to neglect yourself when so much is going on, but self-care is important in order to function properly in life.


Working out causes the body to release serotonin, also known as “happy hormones”. Run! Swim. Do some Zumba. Anything that gets your body moving and your heart rate up. Exercise boosts your self confidence, injects an instant boost in your mood and makes you feel like you can take on anything.

De-Stress Routine

What this looks like is different for everybody. Is it a relaxing walk in the park? A quiet night in with no plans? Acoustic music? Warm bath? Prayer and meditation? Find what works for you, and do it often!
